Dr. Eng. Ahmed Al-Ostaifi, Chairman of the Syrian Center for Engineering Contracts and Arbitration (SCECA) and Chair of the Integrity Committee at the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC), is participating in the FIDIC Global Infrastructure Conference 2026. The event is being held in New Delhi, India, from September 13 to 15, 2026, under the theme:"Engineering a Bright Future, Together Towards Quality Infrastructure for People and Prosperity."Dr. Al-Ostaifi is participating as a speaker in the international panel discussion held on September 14, titled:"Unlocking Investment: A Global Pipeline of Infrastructure Opportunities."The session brings together a number of international leaders and experts to discuss ways to transform global infrastructure needs and promising projects into bankable, investable, and executable opportunities capable of delivering long-term sustainable value.Dr. Al-Ostaifi’s participation, in his capacity as the Chair of the FIDIC Integrity Committee, aims to highlight the crucial role of integrity, transparency, and good governance in boosting investor confidence and creating an enabling environment to attract investments to infrastructure projects. This stems from the principle that successful investment does not solely rely on the availability of projects and funding sources, but fundamentally begins with building trust among governments, investors, consultants, contractors, and the community. This participation carries special significance for Syria and its engineering sector at a stage that demands mobilizing expertise, capabilities, and investments to develop and rehabilitate the country's infrastructure. It emphasizes launching projects that possess technical and economic feasibility while simultaneously operating on governance, transparency, fair competition, and delivering real, sustainable value to society
