Twitter is in the process of launching a new feature called Topics, which aims to help users view tweets that specialize in certain topics and not others, according to the technical news portal about the site Verge.
The feature will allow users to follow more than 300 topics in various fields, and will show tweets from accounts that the user may not follow, but posts tweets that are relevant to the chosen topic.
“We know that the main reason people use Twitter is to keep track of the things they care about,” commented Rob Bishop, who heads the Topics feature team.
This feature means that anyone's Tweets can appear within the timeline, but since the tweets are formatted by Twitter, the user will not see any low-quality Tweets.
This step also shows Twitter's efforts to help users find the best content on the platform, even if they don't know which accounts they should follow.
